11 Injured In Crash On Routes 1&9 In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Eleven people were reportedly injured Monday afternoon in a crash on busy Routes 1&9 in Jersey City.

The accident had northbound traffic at a standstill as of 5 p.m.

The crash happened on northbound Routes 1&9 at the New Jersey Route 440 split, and shut down all lanes for some time, Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2.

Six adults and five children were injured, and there was a fuel spill, Biermann reported.

The accident had been cleared by 5 p.m., but traffic was still jammed.
