NJ TRANSIT gets back on track after trains get stuck near Maplewood
MAPLEWOOD, N.J. - Service was suspended Wednesday on two NJ TRANSIT lines, causing major disruptions.
Roughly 600 people were walked to the Maplewood station and put on buses after their trains suddenly stopped Wednesday morning.
Workers are on the tracks, repairing the power lines.

Video from Chopper 2 provided a bird's eye view of the two suspended trains as crews worked to repair the power lines.
NJ TRANSIT said two train cars full of people got stranded around Chatham station around 8 a.m.
Service on the Morris and Essex line and Gladstone branch have resumed with limited service in both directions because of the overhead wire issues at Maplewood.
Some commuters had no idea there was a problem until they got to the station.
"I got here early like I always do, and I just had a guy tell me my train was canceled today," commuter Jay Scher said. "Every time it seems like there's something else here. Just trying to get to work, so I guess I'll take a bus."
Rail tickets and passes were being cross honored by NJ TRANSIT bus and private carriers and the Newark Light Rail.
