Vets: Rottweiler Allegedly Thrown From Car In Queens Receiving Treatment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A dog is lucky to be alive after it was allegedly thrown from a moving vehicle on a busy street in Queens.

The approximately 6-year-old Rottweiler was reportedly found near Cypress Avenue and Vermont Place Thursday evening and brought to the BluePearl Veterinary Partners by a news crew, the Forest Hills facility said.

"She is receiving IV fluids, she is on heat support as well, she is on seizure watch since she did seizure upon presentation," Paul Miranda, practice manager with BluePearl Veterinary Partners, told 1010 WINS. "She's got numerous folks that are taking care of her."

"We're told that she was thrown out of a moving vehicle yesterday, last night," Miranda told WCBS 880's Peter Haskell.
