Man Has Been Harassing Girls Near Schools In Roselle, Police Say

ROSELLE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a man is preying on girls in New Jersey and trying to get them to come with him.

Police in Union County are looking for a man who has been hanging out near a high school and middle school in Roselle.

Three girls between the ages of 12 and 16 said the man either asked if they needed a ride, or physically grabbed them.

The girls all got away without getting hurt.

The suspect took off.

Similar incidents were also reported in nearby Kenilworth and Linden.

The incidents have left many parents on edge.

"It's scarier than ever before," one father said. "I can't believe it."

"I hope they find him soon cause it's making people nervous and scared," another father said.
