Rolling Stones Announce 'Blue & Lonesome,' First Studio Album In Over A Decade

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Rolling Stones are set to release a new studio album, titled "Blue & Lonesome," on Dec. 2, the band announced Thursday.

This is the first studio release for the iconic rock 'n roll band since their 2005 album, "A Bigger Bang."

According to the band's website, the album harks back to the band's rhythm and blues roots, recorded live over a three-day period at British Grove Studios in West London.

Eric Clapton also makes an appearance, featured in two of the album's 12 new tracks.

The band released a preview of the album's first track "Just Your Fool," originally performed by blues musician Little Walter, on their YouTube page Thursday:
