There She Blows! Whales Spotted Off The Rockaways

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Some whales were spotted off the Rockaways Friday morning.

The whales were spotted in the water off Beach 130th Street in Belle Harbor.

Chopper 2 was able to get some video of the whales as they surfaced for air.

There have been several whale sightings in the Tri-State Area recently. Back in August, a mother and daughter had a close encounter with a 24-foot whale off the Jersey Shore. Whales have also been returning to the Long Island sound.
