Robbery Victim Charged After Allegedly Running Down Suspect In Brooklyn Stick-Up

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A man was facing attempted murder charges following a bizarre crime in Brooklyn.

Police said a man trying to sell a pair of Air Jordan sneakers was robbed by a buyer that he found through Craigslist.

The robber got into the seller's SUV and pulled a gun, police said.

Moments later the driver made a u-turn and mowed down the man who had just tried to rob him.

The gunman lost part of his arm, but still got up and ran off. He even tried to board an MTA bus.

Police charged the driver with second degree attempted murder. The robbery suspect was taken to Bellevue Hospital where doctors were trying to re-attach his arm. Charges against the injured suspect were pending.
