11 Rikers Island Correction Officers Reportedly Injured After Week-Long String Of Attacks By Inmates

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Eleven Rikers Island correction officers were reportedly injured this week after being attacked by inmates.

According to the correction officers' union, the latest attack on Thursday left one officer injured.

The week-long string of attacks has reportedly caused injuries from concussions to broken bones.

The Correction Officers' Benevolent Association says members of a gang are responsible for the attacks.
