Rex Ryan's Infamous Tattoo Gets Facelift From Green To Bills Blue

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Rex Ryan's tattooed right arm went from Jets green to Bills blue.

The recently hired Buffalo coach had the tattoo on his biceps updated to his new team's colors at a parlor in Scottsdale, Arizona, last Friday.

The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Ryan, in town before the Super Bowl, has ditched all of his old New York Jets apparel and needed to freshen up his body art.

"I mean, you've got to turn the page," Ryan told the newspaper.

So, he had the once-much-debated image of his wife in a Jets jersey — the original No. 6 was previously colored over in green — changed to a Bills jersey.

"I'm all in," Ryan said.

But he said there's one thing about that tattoo that will always stay the same.

"The girl's not changing," Ryan said. "I've been married 28 years."

Ryan was fired by the Jets in December after six years in New York, and hired by Buffalo two weeks later. Ryan said his wife, Michelle, donated his Jets apparel to the Salvation Army in N.J.

"They'll give to people that can use it," Ryan said.
