Rex Ryan Goes Challenge Flag-Crazy In New Pizza Hut Commercial

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Who says he wouldn't be good on television?

Before Rex Ryan got the head coach job with the Buffalo Bills he reportedly interviewed with some television networks, presumably for an analyst job, which prompted some to say he was out-kicking his coverage.

The former face of the Jets has had some success in the entertainment world. He played a New England Patriots fan in the 2012 Adam Sandler movie "That's My Boy," and is currently in a funny new Pizza Hut commercial.

In it, Rex plays himself and throws red challenge flags at unsuspecting folks who are not eating triple-cheese covered stuffed crust pizza.

One of Ryan's victims turns out to be Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Ryan was fired by the Jets on Dec. 29, following a 4-12 season. He went 50-52, including the playoffs, in his six years as head coach.

He signed a reported five-year, $27.5 million deal with the Bills on Jan. 12.
