Retired NYPD Officer Found Dead In Mount Olive, N.J. To Be Laid To Rest On Staten Island

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A funeral was planned on Saturday, for the retired NYPD officer who was shot and killed in New Jersey earlier this week.

Patrick Gilhuley, 51, was found dead inside of a Mount Olive home on Monday.

Virginia Vertitus has been arrested in connection with the killing and charged with murder.

Authorities would not say how the two knew each other.

The funeral will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Brooklyn. Gilhuley, a Staten Island native, will be buried in West Brighton.
