Report: Knicks On Dragic's List Of Preferred Trade Destinations

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Bill Duffy, Goran Dragic's agent, has told the Suns that the point guard/shooting guard won't re-sign with Phoenix this summer, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski reports that the Knicks -- along with the Lakers, the Heat and possibly the Pacers -- are on Dragic's list of preferred trade destinations.

The 28-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The NBA's trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. If the Suns decide to hold onto Dragic, they will have the opportunity to offer him more money and more years than any other teams, Wojnarowski reports.

If the Slovenian hits the open market, he'll be able to sign a four-year, $80 million maximum free-agent deal with the Knicks or Lakers, according to Wojnarowski. He could earn over $100 million over five years with the Suns, however.

With the Knicks in rebuilding mode, team president Phil Jackson doesn't have much to offer Suns general manager Ryan McDonough. New York's roster is extremely lean at the moment.

Dragic would be an instant upgrade for the Knicks. The former second-round pick is averaging 16.2 points, 4.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 33.4 minutes. He's started 52 of the Suns' 54 games this season.
