Andrew Cuomo: Father Home From Hospital, In Good Spirits

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says he has been spending a lot of time with his father, the 82-year-old former governor, who is home from the hospital and in good spirits.

Cuomo told reporters he chatted with his father Thursday morning, saw him Wednesday night and that ex-Gov. Mario Cuomo's illness is one reason he himself hasn't gone on tour promoting his recently published book.

Andrew Cuomo said Thursday his father is "very strong and the doctors are pleased with the progress that he's making."

Cuomo was hospitalized for a heart condition Nov. 5, one day after appearing at a victory party celebrating his son's re-election, CBS2 reported.

Details have not been disclosed.
