Report: Derek Jeter Said He Was Unavailable To Throw Out First Pitch On Opening Day

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Where were you, Derek?

Derek Jeter, the iconic Yankees shortstop who retired after the 2014 season, didn't throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium on Monday because he was unavailable, Newsday reported.

Former Yankees manager and Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Torre was given the honor on opening day.
