Red Bulls Extend Unbeaten Streak To 7 Games In 3-1 Win Over Impact

HARRISON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Bradley Wright-Phillips scored two goals to become the New York Red Bulls' career leader and Sach Kljestan tied the club record for assists in a season in a 3-1 victory over the Montreal Impact on Saturday night.

Sean Davis had two assists in the first half and a goal in the opening minute of the second to help the Red Bulls (10-9-6) extend their unbeaten streak to seven games.

Montreal (8-6-9), which entered the game tied with New York for third in the Eastern Conference, took a 1-0 lead on Ignacio Piatti's 13th goal of the season on a counter-attack in the 21st minute. But the Red Bulls answered in the next minute when Davis and Kljestan set up Wright Phillips. It was Kljestan's league-leading 14th assist.

Davis placed a perfect cross to a Wright-Davis header in the 41st minute. It was his 14th goal of the season and 59th with the Red Bulls, moving him past Juan Pablo Angel.

In the first minute of the second half, Mike Grella fed the ball back out front from a tough angle and Davis' shot deflected off a defender to make it 3-1.
