Rare 1980s Videogame Found In Attic, Sells For $9,000

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A rare unopened copy of a video game has earned its finder quite a prize after selling at auction for $9,000.

"Kid Icarus" was released by Nintendo in 1987.

Scott Amos found it in the attic of his childhood home in Reno.

His family bought it for him from JCPenney for about $39.

Experts say it's one of the hardest Nintendo titles to find in sealed condition.
