Taking a look at who's hot and who's not on the local sports landscape:
THREE UP
1. Rangers
Coming off an impressive win over the Capitals, the Blueshirts are now atop the Metropolitan Division with 18 points.
2. Kristaps Porzingis
He's been good thus far. It seems like he has a highlight-reel dunk or two every game and he's been racking up rebounds.
3. Sandy Alderson
Alderson fainted during his press conference on Wednesday, but he got back up and continued what was, for once, a very positive discussion about the Mets. He did a great job this season.
THREE DOWN
1. Barclays Center
Attendance at Islander games hasn't been good, and some of the policies that fans have had to abide by are absurd. Meanwhile, the Nets are 0-5.
2. Geno Smith
You know your team lacks confidence in you when it'd prefer that an injured quarterback play in your stead.
3. John Tavares
He's been out with an illness, but he is expected to play Thursday night. By the looks of things, the Islanders have missed him.
