Fight Leaves 2 Ramapo, N.Y. High School Students Hospitalized

RAMAPO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Two students wound up in the hospital after a fight at Ramapo High School Friday afternoon.

As WCBS 880's Stephanie Colombini reported, the fight led school officials to summon police and an ambulance.

The Journal News reported the 17-year-olds were armed with knives or razors. Both were hospitalized with minor wounds and were later released, the newspaper reported.

Police allowed the East Ramapo School District to release all information.

A statement from schools Supt. Deborah L. Wortham said the school district takes student safety very seriously, and will assist police in all aspects of the investigation.
