Police Seek Suspect In Violent Mugging Of 69-Year-Old In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for a suspect involved in an armed mugging in Queens.

The violent attack and robbery happened on Jan. 31 near 103-39 98 St.

Authorities said two men, one armed with a gun, demanded money from the 69-year-old victim just before 8 p.m.

The suspects then punched the man in the face and took an unknown amount of money from his pocket, police said.

When officers responded, they were able to track down one of the suspects nearby on 97th Street.

Robert Beharry, 26, is charged with robbery, gang assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and harassment.

But the second suspect remains on the loose. Police released surveillance images of the man.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene, police said.
