Police: Man Stole $25,000 Urethroscope From Queens Home

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were searching for a man who stole a package containing a $25,000 piece of medical equipment in Queens earlier this month.

Around 12:40 a.m. Saturday, June 4, police said the man entered a home near 28th Street and 41st Avenue in Long Island City, Queens and took a package containing a digital urethroscope – an apparatus for investigating genitourinary problems.

The suspect was described as an adult Asian male with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing black shoes, blue jeans and a button down gray shirt.

Police released two photos of the suspect.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS or (888) 577-PISTA for Spanish, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
