11 Injured When Car, Special Needs Bus Collide In Glendale, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Eleven people were injured late Wednesday afternoon when a car collided with a bus transporting people with special needs in Glendale, Queens.

Around 4:15 p.m., the car and the bus collided at Woodhaven Boulevard and 82nd Road, officials told CBS2.

There were nine special needs adults on the bus, all of whom were taken to area hospitals with cuts and bruises, officials said.

The driver of the bus and the car were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center in serious condition, officials said.

It was not immediately learned how the accident unfolded.
