Police Say Bike-Riding Serial Flasher Strikes Again In Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a serial flasher has resurfaced in Queens.
They say he's been exposing himself to teens and children since last May.
In every alleged instance, they said he asked victims the same thing -- stopping a girl and asking her for a piece of paper. Then, while she goes into her backpack to get one, he pulls down his pants, exposes himself, and eventually takes off on his bike.
"That disgusts me," one resident said.
"Very sick in the head," another told TV 10/55's Alice Gainer.
CBS2 first reported about these incidents in May.
On May 11, he approached a 13-year-old on her way to school on 48th Street. A short time later, police said he did the same thing to a 14-year-old girl in the area of Stanhope Street and Fairview Avenue.
It happened again on May 30 at 51st Ave and 72nd Place, and again on June 2, at Borden Ave and Grand Ave.
After appearing to take most of the summer off, police say he struck again last week on October 2, at Seneca Street and Stephen Street, exposing himself to a 12-year-old.
"I have a daughter that walks to school and she's 14, so I was really concerned," a resident said.
Parents are now reminding their kids of a very important lesson.
"If anybody stopped her, I told her just keep walking," Norma Vera said.
Police said last week's incident happened around 4 p.m. after school.
The prior incidents happened around 7 a.m.
