Queens-Bound Tube Of Midtown Tunnel To Shut Overnight For 3 Months

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - They're still building it back.

Starting Monday night, the south tube of the Queens Midtown Tunnel will be shut from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, the closure will be from 11 p.m. until 8 a.m. Saturday, the Metropolitan Transit Authority said.

The closures may be suspended on holidays and for other events, the MTA said.

The closures are due to ongoing Superstorm Sandy repairs.
