NYPD: Man Stabbed To Death During Fight At Internet Cafe In Queens, Suspect Charged

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) --  A fight over a computer ended in murder at an internet cafe in Flushing.

On Thursday night, police said they had made an arrest.

CBS2's Alice Gainer was at the 109th Precinct where police were expecting walk the 51-year-old suspect outside at any moment.

The internet cafe where it all happened on Wednesday night, is located just up the block from the police precinct on Union Street.

According to a police source, several teens were playing a game on the computers. They allegedly asked Paul Kim, who was sitting at the computer next to them, if they could have it.

He allegedly said no, and argued with the teens.

The teens left, and came back with a friend, 19-year-old Yangpu Fan.

Witnesses said Fan and two friends came in to confront Kim, who then stabbed Fan in the stomach with a knife.

Fan later died.

The owner of the internet cafe was not there at the time, but is familiar with Kim and said he is there all the time.

"He talks to some people, very few of them, but he's always polite. Every time he comes to me to buy drinks he always smiles," the owner said, "We feel very shocked and we also feel sad about this event."

Kim was being held and expected to be arraigned on Thursday night.
