Coronavirus Update: Queens Priest Dies Of COVID-19

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Queens priest died Saturday of the coronavirus.

Father Gioacchino Basile was Pastor at St. Gabriel Church in Elmhurst.

Officials say Father Basile, who was 60, had underlying health issues, making it difficult to fight the virus.

He is the second priest serving the Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn to succumb to COVID-19.
