Queens Councilman Organizes Anti-Trump March

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Queens Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer says even though Donald Trump is a Queens native, he does not represent the values of many residents there.

Bramer organized a march Saturday, hoping to send a message to the president-elect.

Devin McCabe brought her 2-year-old daughter to the rally.

"She was supposed to be my rally cat with me, but it's also nap time. So we all have to give a little," she told WCBS 880's Mike Smeltz.

McCabe said this was her daughter's second anti-Trump rally since the election.

"She's my daughter, and she's a woman, and she has immigrant grandparents, and I'm a nurse, and I want to fight for her future and I want her to be a part of that," she said.

The group marched across the Queensboro Bridge to Trump Tower.
