Gov. Cuomo Signs Legislation Helping Public Workers During Pandemic

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York has a new pandemic law.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the legislation Thursday to help public workers.

It stops employers from penalizing workers for absences related to COVID.

If workers need to use sick leave or comp time to quarantine or get medical treatment, they don't have to worry about their jobs.
