No Powerball Grand Prize Winner, But 2 $1 Million Winning Tickets Sold At Same Store On Staten Island

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - There were no grand prize winners in last night's Powerball lottery drawing.

The jackpot has grown to $495 million.

There were two winning tickets sold in New York City.

Both tickets were bought at the Stop and Shop on Richmond Avenue on Staten Island.

Last night's winning numbers were 18, 36, 45, 47, 69 and Powerball 14.

Lottery players are rushing to the store in the Bulls Head section of Staten Island to try their luck.

"That's amazing. Just awesome," said Marianne Marciante. "I'm so happy for them. Maybe next time it'll be me."

No one has come forward to claim the $1 million prizes yet. A regular ticket and a quick pick were both sold at the same spot. It could be two people or one who bought both.

"It could be me, who knows?" one customer told CBS2's Natalie Duddridge.

"At this point we don't know who it was," said Larry DiAntonio.

He's "Lucky Larry." He was managing the store when the two winning tickets were sold within the last week. Fortune must follow him, because last September he was also working at another Stop and Shop in New Dorp where the giant $245 million prize was won.

"It's kind of funny. It's amusing. It makes me feel good," DiAntonio said.

Now some customers won't even buy tickets unless Lucky Larry is around.

"I only buy from Larry," customer Annita Narkunski said.

The jackpot has grown to $495 million. Could there be yet another win under Larry's supervision?

"There's the law of averages, which kinda tells me I should go elsewhere. But then there's also that lady luck," said customer Mark Benaron.

After that first mega Staten Island win, Stop and Shop donated its $10,000 commission to a local charity. This time, the company hasn't said what it will do yet.

Lucky Larry just hopes both the pot of cash and the commission goes to someone who needs it.

"Hopefully that money is going to a good place and hopefully again someone on Staten Island, and one of my customers," he said.

The next Powerball drawing is set for Saturday night.
