Police: Yorktown Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Front Of Home

YORKTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police are looking for a driver responsible for the hit-and run-death of a 73-year-old woman in Westchester County.

Authorities tell The Journal News the woman's body was found near the driveway of her home on East Main Street in Yorktown on Thursday night.

The woman may have been returning home from work sometime between 5:40 p.m. and 6 p.m. and had just parked her car when she was struck, cops said. There were no witnesses.

The woman's identity has not yet been released. Police are urging anyone with information to contact Yorktown police at 914-962-4141.
