Police: Teen Arrested For Spraying MTA Bus Driver In Inwood

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Bronx teen has been arrested for allegedly spraying a city bus driver with an unknown substance in Upper Manhattan, police said Wednesday.

Carlos Taveras, 17, has been charged with felony assault, police said.

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. on May 3 in Inwood.

Police said Taveras walked up to an MTA bus that was stopped at the corner of Isham Street and Sherman Avenue, approached the bus driver's window and sprayed an unknown substance at the driver through the window.

The driver was not seriously hurt.
