Police: Suspect Took $500 In Crown Heights Gas Station Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Wednesday for a suspect who held up a gas station in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, a suspect stormed into the Sunoco gas station at 1412 Eastern Pkwy. in Brooklyn, and took out a black handgun as he demanded cash, police said.

The suspect took about $500 and ran off, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a black jacket.
