Police: Suspect Left Empty-Handed In Brooklyn Bank Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were asking the public to help them find a suspect in a bank robbery in downtown Brooklyn.

The robbery happened around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Investors Bank, at 81 Court St. in Brooklyn, police said.

The suspect walked up to a bank teller and handed over a note demanding money. The teller hesitated, and the suspect ran off empty-handed, police said.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
