Police: Shooting, Beating Of Man Inside Bronx Grocery Store Caught On Video

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man seen on surveillance video shooting and beating another man at a grocery store in the Bronx.

It happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday inside the store on Webster Avenue in the Claremont section after police said two men got into in argument.

One of the men, who in the video appears to be holding a drink in his hand, pulls out a gun and fires, shooting the other man multiple times, police said. He then hits the victim several times in the head with his gun, police said.

The suspect then leaves the store, followed by several other men who are seen in the video casually stepping over the victim lying on the floor.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, was taken to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition, 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his 30s with braided hair. He was last seen wearing a red polo shirt, a green baseball hat and blue jeans.
