Police Seek Suspect In Connection With Bensonhurst Rape

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police Monday afternoon were searching for a man they say raped a woman in Brooklyn over the weekend.

The attack happened at around 3 a.m. on Saturday in the Bensonhurst section of the borough, police said.

According to authorities, 25-year-old David Evanson entered the female victim's apartment through a window.

Police said Evanson choked the 21-year-old while she was in bed, then dragged her into the living room and sexually assaulted her before fleeing in a sedan.

Police told CBS 2 the victim knew Evanson.
