Police Seek 3 Suspects In String Of Bronx Burglaries

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Saturday were asking for help from the public in finding three suspects who are wanted in a string of burglaries in the Bronx last month.

In each incident, the suspects were seen on surveillance video walking into apartment buildings, breaking cylinder locks to get into apartments, and taking cash, jewelry and small electronic devices, police said.

All the incidents happened during the day when the apartments were not occupied, police said.

Four burglaries happened on Monday, Aug. 18, in buildings at 3900 Baily Ave., 92 Van Cortlandt Park West, 3815 Putnam Ave. West, and 130 Van Cortlandt Park West.

Three more burglaries occurred Wednesday, Aug. 27 – two of them at 3980 Hillman Ave., and a third at 3985 Gouverneur Ave.

The suspects were described as being between 30 and 40 years old. Police have released a surveillance video.
