Police Searching For Man In Queens Attempted Rape

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are calling for the public's help in finding a man wanted for trying to rape a woman in Queens.

The attack happened on 30th Avenue in Astoria on Feb. 23, CBS 2 reported.

Police said the young woman was walking down the street when the suspect, who was caught on surveillance video, snuck up on her, shoved her to the ground and attempted to rape her.

The victim managed to fight the man off and run away.

Police describe the suspect as Hispanic, in his early 30's, about 5'7", and weighing about 145 pounds.
