Police Search For Suspects Who Held Up GameStop In Marble Hill

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were asking the public to help them find two suspects who held up a video game store at gunpoint in Marble Hill.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, a suspect walked into the GameStop Store at 90 W. 225th St. in Marble Hill, which is politically part of Manhattan, but geographically in the Bronx. A second suspect stayed outside and acted as a lookout, police said.

Inside the store, the first suspect flashed a gun and took about $109 from the cash register and 42 Sony PlayStation 4 video games, and ran off, police said.

The two employees inside did not suffer any injuries, police said.

The suspects were both described as male Hispanics, and were last seen wearing black clothes and scarves partially covering their faces, police said.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspects.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
