Police Search For Suspect Who Groped Woman On J Train In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were asking the public to help them find a suspect who allegedly groped a woman on the J Train in Brooklyn.

Around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, the suspect walked up to the 36-year-old woman on a J Train at the Broadway Junction station in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, grabbed her buttocks, and fled, police said.

The suspect was described as "extremely short in stature," police said.

Police have released a surveillance photo of a suspect.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
