Police Search For Suspect In Midtown East Stabbing

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Friday were searching for the perpetrator who stabbed a man in the neck in front of a Midtown East pizzeria.

Around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, the 30-year-old victim was standing in front of 99 Cent Pizza at 151 E. 43rd St., when the suspect came up and stabbed him in the neck with an unknown object, police said.

The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center, where he was treated and released, police said.

Police have attached a surveillance photo of a suspect, who appears to be wearing a hard hat and carrying a backpack.
