Police Search For Armed Robber Who Stole $9K From Greenwich Village CVS

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for a man who they said robbed a CVS in Greenwich Village Monday.

According to police, the armed suspect entered the CVS Pharmacy at 360 Sixth Ave., near Washington Place, around 3:15 a.m. and forced the manager into the back office.

At gunpoint the suspect forced the manager to open the safe, police said. The suspect then took more then $9,000 and fled the store.

The man was last seen wearing a black 3/4-length jacket and a fur hood, gray pants and brown boots. He was also carrying a black messenger bag, police said.
