Police Search For 3 Suspects In Theft Of Woman's Motorized Wheelchair In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Tuesday for three suspects who stole a motorized wheelchair while she was in a salon in the Bronx.

Around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, the suspects took the 69-year-old woman's Hoveround scooter from in front of the Sol Salon, at 1246 Shakespeare Ave. in the Highbridge section of the Bronx, police said.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspects. One of them is seen riding in the motorized wheelchair, while the other two run at his sides.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
