Police Search For 2 Suspects In Robbery Of Staten Island Livery Cab Driver

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD is asking for the public's help in identifying suspects accused of robbing a livery cab driver in Staten Island.

Police say on September 12 at 12:10 a.m., a 45-year-old livery cab driver picked up the suspects in the 100 block of Elm Street, where a black male got into the back seat and a second suspect, a Hispanic male, took the front seat.

Police say once the two were inside the cab, the suspects demanded the victim hand over his property while armed with guns. After taking the victim's GPS, cell phone battery and $65, they took off, police say.

According to police, there were no reports of injuries.
