The search began around 8 a.m. Wednesday and uncovered the young man's remains, who Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder announced was in his "late teenage years."

Commissioner Ryder added that the victim was allegedly murdered over one year ago and the killing appears to be connected to the violent gang which has been linked to several crimes in the area. The body will undergo DNA testing and has not been identified yet.
