Bomb Threat Prompts Temporary Evacuation of Alitalia Flight At JFK
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Alitalia Flight 604 was temporarily evacuated and searched while on the tarmac at JFK after a reported bomb threat, according to a statement by Alitalia.
TSA says there was "nothing to the threat" and says the FBI has taken over the investigation.
Flight 604 was returning to JFK from Milan.
According to a Twitter user Maxim Sorin, passengers were taken off the plane and all the luggage was removed.

Police searched the plane and luggage while passengers waited in buses. They were later allowed back on the aircraft and headed to the terminal.
A statement was released from Alitalia:
On Sunday June 14, Alitalia has been informed by the TSA of a bomb threat on its flight AZ604 Milan Malpensa-New York JFK. Emergency procedures have been put in place. The flight safely landed in JFK at 4:08 p.m. local time. All passengers disembarked without any problem.
