Police: Queens Deli Clerk Hurt After Trying To Stop Men From Taking Beer, Candy
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have released surveillance video of two men who they said tried to stab a clerk at a Queens deli during an apparent robbery.
It happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday at the Queen Bee deli located at 43-82 162nd St. in Murray Hill.
The clerk tried to stop the men from leaving the store after they failed to pay for beer and candy, police said. One of the men then tried to stab the clerk before running off, police said.
The clerk sustained a cut to his hand during the incident, police said.
The clerk is expected to be OK, CBS2 reported.
