Police Save Deer From Swimming Pool In Flanders, N.J.

FLANDERS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Mount Olive police freed a deer from swimming pool Thursday morning.

Police were called to Flanders, New Jersey by a homeowner who awoke to find the doe trapped in the pool cover and struggling to escape.

Sgt. Carl Mase cut the pool cover, while other officers pulled the deer from the pool.

After a brief rest, the animal ran off into the woods, police said in a Facebook post.

Just last week, a New Jersey state trooper saved another deer from a swimming pool in Warren County.
