Police On The Hunt For Suspect In 2 Manhattan Bank Robberies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were searching for a suspect in two bank robberies in Manhattan.

In both incidents, the suspect walked into the banks, passed a note demanding money to the tellers, and ran off with an unknown amount of money.

The first robbery happened around 3:40 p.m. this past Friday at the HSBC Bank at 2 Park Ave., near 33rd Street.

The second happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley National Bank at 776 Sixth Ave., near 26th Street.

Police have released a surveillance video of the suspect.
