Police: Motorcycle Passenger Dies In Crash On Grand Central Parkway In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a woman has died after a motorcycle crash in Queens.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday on the westbound side of the Grand Central Parkway.

Police said the driver of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old man, somehow lost control just before the 94th Street exit.

The passenger on the bike, a 20-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital. The man was also hospitalized in stable condition with injuries to his shoulder and legs.

The wreck snarled traffic for a time during the morning rush.

The investigation is ongoing.
