Police: Masked Men Bored Hole In Wall In UES Jewelry Heist

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Monday for three suspects in the burglary a week earlier of a Torino Jewelry store on the Upper East Side.

The three masked men made a hole in the lobby of the building at 767 Lexington Ave., between 60th and 61st streets, just after 1 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, police said.

They then made their way into the Torino store, and took numerous pieces of jewelry from wall displays and glass counters, police said.

The suspects then ran off, police said. They are described only as three men wearing masks and gloves.

Police have released surveillance photos and video of the suspects.
