Police: Man Wounded In Shooting On Harlem Street

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- There was chaos and panic in the streets of Harlem following a shooting that injured a man on Wednesday.

Police said shots were fired into a crowd on 141st Street and Lenox Avenue around 9:40 a.m., CBS 2 reported.

Authorities told 1010 WINS a man inside a car fired at a group of men standing in front of a store.

A 60-year-old man was hit in the shoulder. Police said they believe he was not the intended target, 1010 WINS reported.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital Center and is expected to survive.

Surveillance cameras captured the chaos in the streets.

The video purportedly shows people running from the gunfire and the victim drop his bike as he's shot in the shoulder, CBS 2 reported. Two minutes later, the victim returns and appears to ask for help.

The suspect fled the scene in a black sedan.
